Hello all, new to this board and could not find all of the info I was looking for. I just picked up an 08 450x that I plan to make my daily commuter. 26 miles round trip per day. I have read the horror stories of the tranny lockups but that issues seems to have been cured by Honda and by running a full quart of lube in the tranny side. Right?
I'll be running highway 55+ for about 6 miles in each direction.
I've also been reading that to make the bike much more reliable, SS Intakes are a requirement and that using a TRX piston is recommended. Thoughts?
I curious to hear what gear ratios other dual-sporters are running for some moderate dual-sport use.
Anything else I'm missing?
