Sorry not to rain on your parade, but you probably have a letter in the mail telling you that your X isn't street legal anymore.

I checked with the DMV in Sacramento and my bike wont be affected by this. My sons RMZ will. It will only affect '06 and later green sticker to plate and all red sticker to plate conversions. They may at their option, ask you to get a verification from a LEO stating that you have all of the on road requirements.

If it happens, so be it. I am not so concerned as I only rode it on road in Idaho not in California. I really dont see any benifit to having a plate.

Cool, hadn't heard it was an 06 thing. Heard it was everything after 04 when the law was supposed to take effect, but you sound more informed than I. Good luck with the sale!!
