    Oxyacetylene torch....?

Or….. once you get the shock off the bike, loosen the locking ring and adjuster ring all the way out. Push the spring seat toward the spring to reveal the circlip. Remove the circlip and the seat will come off. The spring will come off at this point.

What he said. If you can't push the spring seat toward the spring, tap in on either side with a rubber mallot till it breaks free. Once in does you will see the circlip that nowazzu was talking about.

You must be thinkig the spring that came with your bike is too stiff huh? Next will be the front end. Remember my offer of swapping forks with you. :D Mine are completely stock and don't have a nick or scratch on them anywhere. Let me know.

The stockers will be just fine for your weight. Sure you don't want to avoid all the work and just swap? Cheaper too!!

Well for now I still have to go test it out.

Before the prominent problem was that it was too springy in the rear.

So now with the new rear I have to try it out.

If it is in fact too stiff I would definitely be willing to make a trade.
