I went to the local inspection station to ask what they required to inspect my 450x so I can get a plate for it. They said the brake light has to function by not only the rear brake lever but also when the front brake lever is squeezed. Has anyone done this and can you tell me how you did it? I checked the crfsonly catalog, californiadualsport.com and bajadesigns but I can't find a switch for the front brake lever. Thanks.

Its a hydraulic switch that goes in the banjo bolt at the master cylinder. You should probably just buy a Baja designs kit and it comes with most everything you need. TIres and a chain gaurd are all I can recall needing extra to get mine street legal.

Use the entire BajaDesigns kit, you cannot go wrong. Mine works great, and I have the Plate!

I have done two a 650R and my 450X your first mistake was asking questions to you inspector there. now if you go back you will have to have the front brake light work, Baja kit does not come with it . you can get one for the front brake. Just install the Baja kit first then find another place to have it inspected and don't say anything about front brake lever but yes I have mirror, horn, brake lights, signals, dot tires,hi low beam. take you inspection slip to DMV and get you tags

That's my question. Where can I get a switch for the front brake since it doesnt come with the baja designs kit? Is it the same switch as the rear hydraulic brake switch or is it different and can you direct me to who sells them? All the other bases I have covered. Thanks

My BAJA kit came with front and rear bajo bolts for brake lights. IT was designed for the 450X and everything worked perfectly.

    Alfie,
They are available from Baja Designs separately for $20.00.
