I'm in a quandry over footpegs.

I'm leaning towards the PowerPegz. 20 degree pivot, stainless steel, lowboy mounting option, beefier mount than stock.

There are alot of options out there. I would like some input on pegs.

What are you using and why?

Do you have issues actuating the brake and shifter controls?

Pivot or hard mount?

Lowboy option?

Everybodys feet, boots, ankle, are all different so there's a whole lot of options that might work for some, but not others.
Those you're looking at seem like they'd be pretty versatile.
I've just got the IMS stainless ones and like them quite a bit, they're the exact pegs I had on my X.
It always takes me quite a while to get the shifter and rear brake pedal where they are in the 'right' place for both standing and sitting anytime I get a new bike, though going from the X to the R it was ,duh,pretty easy !
That Hammerhead shifter and /or tip sure makes minute changes in shifter changes a snap though,same with their brake tip/lever where you can change the set screws in it for different heights. Doug

AS, I have the fastways in the lowboy position. I was gonna go for the PIVOT PEGZ but these came up cheap on ebay. The pivot pegz are just like the power pegz except they have a self centering spring that returns the peg to the flat (nuetral) position if you take your foot off of it. I think I would like the self centering feature, as much as my feet are off the pegs!!!!! OFG

I have the Fastways in the lowboy position. I love the wide platform. I love the fact that I now have room to get to the levers. I love the fact that they gave that little bit extra that I needed to get to a comfortable standing position. I love the way that my boots stick to them without feeling like I can't move my feet as required.

Can you tell that I love them

AS, can't say enough about my Fastways. They are awesome, plenty of grip and a nice big platform for big feet. Definitely my favorites.

I have the IMS pros.That buddy that gives me stuff put them on my bike when I left my bike at his house. I like them because, I don't ever think about my foot pegs and I think that speaks for itself.Those pegs that pivot just seem weird to me though I have never tried them.

Agent, if you go with the Fastway F3s... and don't like em.. I'll buy them from you. I was planning on putting them on my '05 250X. Same PN for 125/250/450/X/R.

I have a set of IMS pro-series off my 96 cr125 I used to have I modified them to work on the bike my spring modification didn't work though so there's a lil loose. .Alot nicer than stock though wider and grippier.. I really like those pivoting ones though and will end up them in the near future=)

The Pivot Pegz from OFG look cool. I like the idea of the return spring. The fact that they are made overseas is bothersome.

Seems like the pivoting pegs may help you. I know that, although I really like the feel of the Fastways on my sons bike, because of the slightly larger front to back dimension (compared to stock) there's a tendency (for me) to have to exaggerate the movement of my foot for braking and shifting on the little bike. That could also just be the fact that everything is so close together on that 70.

With the pivot, I can only see how it would help. Can't see it would ever work against you.

If you change you mind, just let me know. I probably won't order a new set until Feb. Will be working on getting a '07 250R into shape until then.

get the power pegz You won't need the self centering action , as soon as your foot goes back on the peg it's a perfect match , they work so well you don't even know they are there .
and they are a big plus if you have knee issues (I do) and yes they help with getting your boot on the brake pedal .

I've heard really good stuff about the floating pegs. Personally I run the F-3's. My only complaint is in the low position they dont fold up quite as far. The bolt that allows you to tilt them in hits the smaller of the two bolts holding the mount to the frame. Looking for a button type head bolt to allow the adjustment. Wondering, does anyone else have this problem?

I'm not natural with it. I have to pull it off the pegs to find the brake. It's really awkward.

I'm still running stock feet. (12's)
