48 tooth?

    48 tooth?

    Hey guys I hope everyone's christmas was a good one. Anyways I was wondering if i need to change the chain with a 48 tooth or add links. Any Help?

    If you are going to the 48 from stock, you might need to remove links.

    I had to go to the 49 tooth when I put the FTD chain adjusters on, Im glad I did, the 13/49 gearing works great.

    I just changed my front counter sprocket to a 14... from what I understand it's pretty close to running a 48 on the rear. I like it alot. I'm getting alot more out of 1st and 2nd on the track- I haven't trail ridden it yet though. The verdict is still out on that one....

    I just did the front to try it out before I got out and buy a new chain/sprocket combo. I think I'm going for the 13/48 combo. It was easy too, because I didn't have to remove links....it's a 20 minute job!

    I have a 48T on mine and the stock chain works fine
