    How was the temp

    by fatty432 » Thu Jan 04, 2007 9:05 pm

That looks alot like here in So. Ut. I would like to see that area. It looks like alot of fun. I think my next purchase is a big camp trailer. It's nice to see bellies like mine, I think i'll get me one of those fat guy racing t-shirts and some knuckle guards for the bike. Was going to ride this weekend but the weather is not cooperating.

    :(

I normally camp roughly in the vicinity of Galileo Hill / Silver Saddle which is N 35 11 26 W 117 45 11. From there to Husky shows 24.7 miles roughly due east. From Randsburg it looks like about 23 miles to the southeast.

and Pilot Knob is pictured between you and your son.
we had exactly 35 one way from camp at Impala/Simca streets, which is on the south end of Esse Blvd. we do hills and ridgeline, and some canyon stuff on the way that surely adds to the mileage a bit.
everything around Fremont is the Schnitzen! :)

Paul- Are you doing that trip with a stock tank or do you have the 3.2?

PT has 3.2, we took 16 oz water bottles full of gas with us. I put 6 in, Atrain put 2 in, neither of us went on reserve with stock tanks. Throttle management is the key, but I'm gonna get the 3.2 I hate carrying gas. The round trip was 80 miles including the Fremont ridgeline.
I think its the guys hitting the rev limiter constantly that seem to get poor mileage, and then wonder why their valves are shot after a year. Atrain could ride up the side of a skyscraper in 3rd or 4th gear, that kid makes everything look easy.

Wow- 6 bottles, that's quite a bit. I've thought about getting a couple of those aluminim fuel bottles that backpackers use, but I never would have bought isx of them.

Do you know if the stock shrouds and aftermarket radiator guards / braces fit with the big tanks? Sounds like the next upgrade I need to do.
