    Wow, thought I was the only one having med issues? I get vertigo, which is not a good thing when running down a single track - even as slow as I go! Went through all the tests, heart, brain, blood pressure etc. And, while I do have high blood pressure, mine turned out to be Migraines with Vertigo/Aura which causes me to get very dizzy and vision goes to crap! When I was younger I suffered from regular headache type migraines - maybe once or twice a month, brought about by stress and now they have morphed into the vertigo and NO HEADACHE PAIN! Just Google Migraines with vertigo or aura and see some of the other symptoms that they can cause.
    I had to cancel a ride yesterday because of this crap - Hopes this helps.... good luck!

    Yea i have high BP (on meds) , but its not related to the blackouts i was having (awaiting test results from EEG/brain scan) , heart is fine ,inner ear infections turned out to not be related to symptoms , though the blackouts have not returned after 2 days in hospital , still not real stable when riding but have only ridden once since leaving hospital on March 5th , hoping next ride is better ,maybe this weekend if rain stops

    I used to get Cluster Headaches , but have not had them in about 10 years (kind of like migraines except you have them several times a day for weeks then they stop for weeks then start up again) , i have had a few head injuries over the years , so who knows what malfunctions are lurking up there

    I will look into the vertigo thing , i do have a massive fear of heights/edges of drop-offs so maybe its getting worse and affected by movement now , i just want to ride , so hopefully they will find the issue and fix it , or show me how to live with it , whatever it turns out to be !

    lol , yea you could say that , but then after you black out over 50 times in 1 day and blackout more than 20 times a day for a week prior to that (without going to the Dr or complaining to anyone , by the way ,till i hit 50 of them and ended up in the E.R.), i would bet you would change your tune and snivel a little , especially if you have broken your back several times and your neck , it gets sketchy enough when you fall when riding , but to be blacked out and fall while riding makes for more danger and seriousness .....it sucks getting old ! :cry:

    And you can't just Roll With It when you blackout , you kind of splat in the dirt , no rolling involved =;

    We are the same age big Jim. :shock: When you have had your spleen removed, broken leg and still walked on it for a week, complete reconstructed of half your face, broken foot and still riding on it ....we can talk.

    So, I guess we are in the same boat. :lol:

    Im sorry about your brother. that story really puts things in perspective for me, I wouldn't ever want to miss out on my children's lives. I will be making a check up appointment soon. I want to ride my bike with my kids as long as possible too. my 16 month old daughter climbs right up on her big sisters xr50, grabs the throttle and goes vvvrrrooommmmm! cracks me up every time. lol

    Well, being on the dark side of 64, for some folks I guess just being able to throw my leg over the old Fo-Fiddy is an accomplishment! :)

    Anyway - I'll get back in the saddle again...

    As for the email - Sorry Neil - I was gone for over a week and had bunches of emails in the inbox - I remember reading it (you got a trials bike)and thought I had responded. I'll catch you up soon!

    Time to take my Geritol and use my walker to get to bed...... take care all! LOL :):)

    Yea i hear ya about dumb stuff ....and still riding.... , kinda like this ? http://vimeo.com/13138475

    I ride there every 4th of July weekend , i am usually the first rider to the top of the mountain after the snow melts , and for some reason going up the same trail i always go up , i was over to the left just a bit too much , but i still rode another 50 miles afterwards , this was my first major ride after getting out of my neck brace after breaking my neck in 09 , the injuries to me was from the bike landing on me in the first hit

    My us old buggers are a bunch of crocs. Maybe the post heading needs to be changed. Know how you all feel haven't had bike time for over a year with medical issues. Now the weather is starting to cool I am going to have to start getting bike fit again for winter.

    Best wishes to the rest of you.
