    LANC

No LANC is a pain sometimes but the inexpensive Aiptek MPVR recorder produces 2 hours of excellent video. I'm using a Bullet camera now but will switch to the Twenty20 camera as soon as I can afford it. The Aiptek with a 2GB card is the way to do this on the cheap.

EXCELLENT! Good luck with that stuff...I'm sure you'll love it. Do post that video...any video...even if you think it's boring. It's always fun (at least I think so) to see others and their bikes in live action.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no quality helmet cams that are self-contained. I tried riding for a while with my Sony PC-1000 mounted on the side of my helmet and it was WAY too bulky. Works perfect when falling through the air, but not for any kind of riding that may send you down to the ground.

You need something small and compact. Anything even remotely bulky will end up getting the snot beat out of it.
BTW, just saw this picture in another thread. The dude on the left is illustrating what I mean about the camera having the potential to get the crap beat out of it. Another BTW...that guy is obviously a skydiver (or borrowed someone's gear) because the helmet he's wearing is for jumping. Okay setup for easy, wide open track stuff, but if you're going to be bouncing through woods, it doesn't work...believe me.
