I have a crf250r and it has been leaking coolant around the top or cap of the radiator so I replaced the cap thinking that is what may be wrong with it but it is still leaking and I have no idea what to do. Thanks!
I have been looking at it today and I am wondering if the orientation of the cap matters. Would that be the problem?

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

Are you sure its going on all the way ?? , it should lock into place and not be able to move any further , you need to press down while putting it on .... and generally it does not matter what way you put it on , as long as its locking into place , it should seal provided there is no damage to the lip

I am assuming that it was working fine , then after one of the checks to look at the fluid level , it started leaking , correct ??? , if so then i would say its something you are doing wrong , as the cap should not be bad so soon on a newer bike

I just put the a new racing cap on thinking that would fix it and it still leaked so then I turned the cap the other way but I haven’t rode it since and the new cap wobbles some but I don’t thinks that has anything to do with it

I made sure the cap was on all the way but it still leaked so I turned the cap the other way and I haven’t rode it since

The fact that you are saying its"loose" bothers me , it should NOT be loose under any circumstance , are you positive you have the correct cap ?? , and did the original cap seem "loose" as well ?? :-k ....
