I have a noise coming from left side of motor.... Sounds like cam chain. What could it be? Thinking of putting manual cam chain tensioner on. Please help

It's tough to diagnose a noise that you can't hear in person. It is at low speed, like idle? Does it go away, or change tones when you increase rpm.
A cam chain will rattle worse at idle.

The noise never goes away. Sounds real chain like? Not sure if can chain tensioner is working or if cam chain is stretched. If I install a manual cam chain tensioner so I have to have motor at top dead center? Not sure if I could post a video with sound here.

Has the Timing Chain been replaced recently ?? , it sounds like the chain , but it could also mean the Tensioner , as they do go bad , you can remove the Tensioner and test it to see if it is the issue , and that test is simple and minimal work to do

Just remove it , and the first thing to notice would be if the tensioner is complete , if the Plunger is falling out , then that means its bad , also if the screw is turned and the plunger does not adjust in and out , if the Tensioner passes inspection , then i would guess its the Chain , and possibly the plastic Guides being worn , but usually its the chain , you can also tell if its the chain (or Tensioner) if you align the 3 timing marks and they do not ALL line up , the small round plug on the Ignition cover , the Large round plug on the Clutch cover just behind the water pump , and the Cam Sprocket itself ,the notches should be level with the head , like this - -

If the chain is bad then you will need a Flywheel Puller , you need to make sure its the correct one for the 450X and you need to make sure you use it properly , if you crush the brass flare on the end of the crank , you will loose your oiling to the top end and fry the engine , so be careful when using the puller ,(dont tighten the cap nut down all the way , it needs to be backed off slightly so it does not touch the end of the crank/bottom out , before you use the puller)

Thank you I will take the tensioner out and see if that makes a difference. Thanks again for responding to my post.
