crf 250x 06 seat bolts size and handbrake

    by cozsmin » Fri Sep 19, 2014 2:00 am

    Hello

    I have an 06 250x crf

lastly i have played with the handbrake (unscrew it ,left the bolt around ) and (think i have) lost the bolt

and same goes for a seat bolt , this one has been missing for some time now

now i went on another website and saw some nice bolts looking just like the seat ones

but since there are so many sizes available i don't know which to buy for the seat and which to buy for the brake lever

The parts schematic shows the seat bolts (the ones that also go through the rear of the side panels) as 8x16. They should be the only two bolts holding the seat on.

The front brake has two 6x22 bolts that go through the rear clip holding on the master cylinder to the handlebars. If you're talking about the bolt that holds the lever on, they don't give the size on the schematic and it also has a unique shoulder length to move smoothly with the lever and not cause any friction or wear.

--- Actually just looked again and noticed the one that holds the brake lever on has a 6mm nut attached at the bottom. I'd still stick with the Honda bolt because of the flange and the issues listed above.

Honda brake lever BOLT part number: 90114-166-006 List price:$5.35

I don't remember where i have seen the code but it is called "FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER"

what is the difference between these 2 ?

That part number you listed is number 14 in the diagram below. They don't list the specs of the thread pitch or length. I believe the end is machined to act as a plunger on the master cylinder itself. I would stick with the factory part.

The part number I listed in my first post to your question was for part number 15 in the diagram.
