uphill sand.

hey there are some awesome uphill sand spots at the lake i am wanting to try out. any suggestions on how to stand, rpm, or any other would be appreciated.

speed, momentum, keep the front light, knees slightly bent...when you eat it...get away from the bike...the sand is much softer than anything attached to your bike. ;)

Honda, be careful of kick-turning (or whatever it's called) back around down the sandy hill (extending your leg out to pivot the bike around). Just this Saturday I went riding in a huge abandoned sand pit, and met anothr rider there who was very talented. It was his first day back on his bike since tearing some ligaments in the knee during a kick-turn, when his planted foot gripped into the soft sand holding his lower leg in one fixed position while the bike continued around.

:oops: I got sick just listening to him describe it.
The sand presents a whole new beast indeed.

Hi we had a 100 footer we climb back in NZ,best way i found was to get good momentum keep the power on keep to the middle to get good tracktion when you start losing tracktion move forward to minimise bogging down don,t button off,i had CR500 and now CRF450 and get up 99.9% of time.Have fun.

sand is one of the funnest terrains to ride in ive ridden it all my life it's very forgiving for wipeouts... all i can say is GIVE ER
