    tpeach24,
That looks really good. Did you use an OEM R seat cover after you shaved the seat foam? Doesn't it feel slim at the seat tank transition compared to the X? I have ridden mine with both tanks and there is a definite feeling of more weight up high with a full X tank. The narrower R tank makes getting way up on the tank a lot easier when going into corners too.
I did a 30 mile loop at Georgetown with the smaller tank and had a liter and a half of gas left. I would not recommend trying a long desert run with the smaller tank though you might be pushing it. Literally!

I strongly recommend the R tank if you are going to race MX. I got a spare OEM seat so that I had the option of switching back and for for long trail rides. The bike with the R configuration is, again, noticeably slimmer and lighter compared to an X with a full tank of gas.
I would also suggest that you get a cam for it. My Stage 1 Hot Cam made a huge difference. If you don't do the install yourself have it done when you have your valve clearance checked. The cam was without a boubt the best performance mod value (after making it run right with the JD kit and Honda CCC air box mods) for the cost. Seriously, this thing revs better and pulls from the bottom to the top of the RPM range with the Hot Cam. I love this thing!
