Yes, I use to play pretty regular when I was still in school in So.Cal. If you get the chance to play DO! It's a blast and you will love it. Two tips...always wear a cup, and don't play in the snow ( the paintballs freeze and they hurt like hell). We played once in Big Bear durring winter, it didn't take long to learn that lesson. Let us know how it goes.

yes i have a paintball gun. and i paintball with my cousins in the woods. we teamed up once and my partner and i kept getting shot, very accurately! we couldnt find out where the shots were fired from so finally i said "WE GIVE UP" and my cousin had snuck a camoflauge blanket down there and was lying under it on top of a kind of hilly area.
it is fun stuff.

I have personally played quite a lot over the last 18 years. I was just wondering if anyone had shared in the experience. I played my first game back in '86 against the reigning State champs. I have been lucky enough to have competed at every level from Recreational to Pro and had the chance to play in many different places.
Wade, Good advice! I only played a few minutes when I realized how important it was

. I stopped in the middle of playing and went and bought one. I have worn one ever since

. Do you still play?
ev, You said "sorry I have a deep aversion for any kind of weapon". Although a marker could be used as a weapon I never saw it as such. To me it was just a high tech version of tag (or Chess). It teaches teamwork, patience, self confidence, improves reflexs, and makes you think. I realize this isn't for everyone but if you get a chance maybe you should give it a try.
HF, I started playing in the woods although not so much anymore

I miss it ... I have played in Oklahoma a few times. You have lots of woods to get lost in. I have to admit, I have never had anyone hide under a blanket before, dig tunnels yes, but not a blanket. Sounds like you had a good time...

Tulsa, Lawton (I think) and Norman. Back in the day, Tulsa had a couple of fields and I played there several times. Only played in Norman once and I believe we played a 5-man tournament in Lawton, but I'm not sure - it was a long time ago.

No I have not played in about 10 years but I do miss it sometimes. We have a few areas for structured games here in Springfield but we have a lot of areas that you can just go to the woods and play renegade. I sold my equipt. before I left So.Cal. so I would have to get new gear. I use to use a little PMI1 pistol when I played.

Ahhhh, the good old pump days. The markers we use today are a little more evolved, they are semi-autos, some capable of shooting 26 balls per second. Most fields have a decent rental program so having your equipment is optional. Think about it. It's still fun, different, but still fun...
