Boots, Boots, My meager Kingdom for some boots that don't take forever to break in and that wiil allow me to feel the shifter and the brake pedal. I got a pair of Alpinestar Tech 6s. Holy Crap! Anybody know of anything that comes close to HiPoint GPs; something that isn't all stiff plastic? Will the Alpinestars ever loosen up, will the feel "come to me"? Any suggestions on breaking them in ?

I haver never found a pair of boots that I cant wait to get off at the end of the day. I bought a pair of Fly boots one time and I'm pretty sure that they did some nerve damage (lost all feeling on top of my foot for about 3 months - no joke). Fox Trackers weren't much better. I now wear Thor MX-T30's. These are the best (affordable) boots that I have tried yet. Good luck!

Thanx for the input. Can you actually feel the shifter and brake pedal with the Thor's? Or am I asking too much from a pair of boots?

if you are new to riding boots they will at first seem like you can't feel anything. over time you'll get use to them.

this is not a matter of boot but rather a matter of sensitivity
or maybe of what a smart head once called the "prosthesis-like use of a tool"
very primitive example:
if you do not watch, do you still know if the screwdriver you use is in the correct position or slipped?
do you 'feel' that where your fingers touch the screwdriver or can you actually 'feel' with the tip of your tool?
same with boots, learn to feel with them, make them a 'part of you' while you ride

Thanks all for the input. It's been about 15 years since I last rode and had always worn HiPoint GP series boots. They seemed, or as I recall, seemed to be alot more "sensitive". Guess I 'm remembering the broken in boot and forgot actually the feeling of "feeling" Guess I'll just have to go ridin more often to get the feeling back. Too Bad Huh![/i]
