    Musical instruments?

    by woodsman » Fri Jul 11, 2008 11:18 am

Hey, I was wonderin how many of yall play some sort of musical instrument? How long have ya played it? I play piano and have had lessons for about 9 years now. I can play pretty much anything if you give me about a few minutes to figure it out. 8) I'm currently working on Autumn Leaves by Roger Williams as my main piece and along with some Grieg, and Neil Diamond. :)

Anybody else out there play anything? :?:

Took piano lessons from kindergarten through 6th. I can only play Mary Had a Little Lamb. Played guitar from 6th to 12th, 2 years of lessons, tabs the rest. Played battle of the bands senior year. The piano lessons have helped me alot with anything musical, just found it boring. I think it has alot to do with the instructor. Piano - old lady, guitar - long haired rocker dude. Sold everything when I left for college, haven't played since.

I've got 2 Hammonds(an A100 and an M-103 and 3 Leslies.), a couple of ARP's, a piano and several other old analog synths and string ensembles. A Rich Beck (Warmouth) cutom made Bass, an inexpensive fretless bass, and a 1975 Telecaster Deluxe.
(I've got an 8X4X2 track studio (analog) in the back under construction) I'm more of a technologist than musician and have done this for my own amusment since the mid 70's.
Use only Genuine Interocitor Parts.06 250X Flatlands skid and rad guards. Clarke 3.1 gal tank. Cycra Probends, Rekluse Pro, correct springs. Horn, mirror, brake/tail/license lights and a hanger for the plate. That is all.

Believe me, I can rock pretty well on this "old lady" ;) Skynyrd is one of my favorite artists, along with Chris Ledoux and Garth. As far as bands, what are some of yall favorites?

I like Decyfer Down and Pillar along with Skillet as my top three favorite bands. As yall have probably noticed by now, I like old country, southern rock, and christian rock. \:D/

I play sax and the drums on a semi-regular basis. I recently got into recording and sampling on an old school 4-track analog system. I think I am enjoying this even more...
