Daughter's minor crash

Ok, I have twin daughters who are 5. They both decided they wanted to ride motorcycles. So they have CRF50's. They have all the gear (more gear than I do!) Well so far they are still learning and they have the training wheels on them to help with balance. We still sit behind them as they just got them in January. So one of them finds the fence a few weeks ago. It scared her more than anything, scratched the fender of the bike and bent the throttle cable. I comforted her and told her it added character to her bike. So the same day she gets back on and rides like it never happened. Well now she will not ride unless either I take her for a ride or unless I put my hands over hers when she is riding. If I move my hands she will coast to a stop and grab the center bar in the middle of the handlebars. So I ask her whats wrong and she consistently states that she doesn't want to crash into the fence again. Any suggestions on how to get her to ride again? Normally I just sit behind her and hold onto the bike so in case they need a little help I can give it. Do you think it's just a case of her needing time to get comfortable again?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
