    who mounts your tires?

    by ev » Thu May 27, 2004 3:59 pm

I met so many guys that could not distinguish one end of a screwdriver from the other
    so please tell me
    who mounts your tires?
if you mount them yourself, what tools do you use, do you have a certain procedure ...

Ugh! I don't do tires. I pay the KTM dealer $12 to change tires or $15 to fix a flat.

I'd just as soon rebuild a top-end as try and change a tire. Yech!

I think my best-ever attempt yielded only three holes in the tube, though. It didn't hold air, of course, but it was better than my average six holes per tube.

And to think that Dick Burleson can do it, on the trail, in under four minutes. I saw it on video, too.

no way can i do it in under 4 min. but i can certainly do it in less than 4 busted knuckles! i realize now that i never followed up with my changing procedure. i'll add it to the list of things i need to do! stay tuned!

where can I find the 4 minute tire change video? I've searched Google and it didn't show up.

I changed my front tire on the trail last week but it took me 30 minutes.

    thanks
