Does anyone know of an after market add-on electric start for a CRF 70? Ever since I purchased my CR250X, my son has wanted one for his 70.

I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think so. I have never stumbled across anything. It would likely be extremely expensive anyway.

It’s a shame all the Yamaha TTR’s from the 50 to the 250 are now electric start. I suspect Honda will respond to that soon like they have with the 06 CRF150

I’m on everyday! Has not been much activity. I jump in look for new posts and if I can’t add much I’m out! :-)

We need new blood!

I installed a 110cc electric start 4 speed clutch motor in a honda xr70 frame, I mounted the batt under the seat and all the electrical under the side panel.

The motor I bought came with the starter relay and a stator to charge the batt and run lights I used the honda coil and rev box I just pluged the wires from the motor into the stock wiring harness .

You can get a motor from dratv.com for about $400.00 and find a small batt for $50.00

The bike is for sale now my son is on a cr85 and we don't use it. Scott

My son asked me for a starter today. He just jumped up to the 70 and it is a lot harder for the little guy to kick over than his 50.

Outside of spending $500 bucks and doing a major over haul, can you make it kick over easier if you can't put a starter on it?
