Just got an 1988 Honda Z50 for my little boy. It doesn't seem to have a throttle stop/governor. Anybody know where I can get my hands on one. After riding the bike myself, I now understand the Mini-Craze! Thanks.

I’m assuming it’s not simply a screw stop like the newer ones??

No, it doesn't seem to have anything...unless I'm just totally ignorant and am missing it.

Probably not because the screw on the XR/CRF 50's stick out a long ways right next to the throttle, to be exact right where the throttle runs with the cable in the metal housing.

Have you checked the carb? If not maybe take off the throttle assembly and see if you see any limiting factors.

Here is a pic: (it is the screw sticking out just under the brake lever)
