Ok. Been reading here a few days.... not getting anywhere.

history: bought used a month ago. ran great since then.

Started bogging so i suspected trash in the carb. Boy was I right.Lots of wet grass in the stock air box. Filter was rigid and cracked... small hole in filter.
    Carb was bad bad dirty.

Pulled carb. removed all needles and jets. ran wire thru the jets and chem dipped the whole mess for 24 hours.

put it all back together and it acts the same.
runs quite a bit better with half choke though.

STILL starts easy and idles fine. With or without choke. We actually never really needed the choke except when I was playing around with the bog problem.

tells me it is the main jet. but it is clean.

i dont suspect varnish buildup because it ran ffine for a time and then started acting like this all of a sudden.

running NEW cr6hsa ngk plug. Just noticed it was black. Cleaned with wire brush and no change.

fuel couldnt flow any more freely.

    timing is spot on

i havent checked valves because my feelers are too big to get in the little hole. working on that.
Found the official Honda 2004 - 2011 service manual online.... it says to check in this order:
    1. fuel flow (checks good)
    2. Ignition Timing (spot on)
    3. Jets (as described I cleaned. even the hard to get to needle jet)
    4. Valve Timing <= how do i test that?
    5. Valve Spring inspection <= how do i check that?

    Did I miss anything?
