hey, trying to figure out how to remove the spring off the shock,shock itself is off,just cant figure out how to get spring off..thanks in advance..peace

Not to be an rear, but nobody on this whole site knows how or if the shock spring can be taken off.i was told this was the place to go if you own a crf. sorry on being forward,but i only have a short time to return the spring.if need be..

Sorry 'bout that...we don't observe the 50/70 forum as much as we should.

It is easy.

Slide the rubber bump stop down.

Use a punch to remove the upper rubber bushing from the top eye.

Apply heat to the top aluminum piece around the shaft. Make sure to apply heat or you will strip the nut as it is LocTited.

Then hold the nut with a 14mm wrench and stick a long punch through the top eye and unscrew.

thank u..we just purchased the 70 and are doing a few upgrades.pipe ..shock spring...my shop manual has not arrived yet ,so i was clueless..just about ready to send spring back......again ..thank you...
