Currently we have the stock air filter on my son's CRF70 and would like to replace it with something better. Does anyone use something else that will work better than the stock air box? K&N or twin air or ????
Thanks

I took an old UNI filter from my quad and cut a good section out, oiled it up and use it.. much better flow

I run a twin air in ours. Made specifically for the 50 and 70 works great. Stock air box but I also removed that metal restictor plate and adjust the fuel screw.

not to hijack, but....

I bought a k&N type air filter off ebay and was going to install today but I have a question.

On the stock air filter housing there looks to be a vacuum hose? that comes off and goes into the case?

here is the filter I purchased

and here is the stocker with the vacuum line (at least thats what I assume it is)

So I guess my question is...if that is a vacuum line, what the heck do I do with it?[/img]

on another site I found this...

"Errrr , there's a crankcase breather hose that vents to the airbox . When the little ones take a spill and don't pick it up right away , engine oil will vent out this black hose - up to the airbox . What you are seeing in the clear tube is engine oil that is draining from the airbox , via the crankcase ."

so maybe this isn't a vacuum after all and I can make this work after all. I'm headed out to the garage.....lets see if I can do some damage.
