    plasti-dip on plastics

    will it work. Cant find plastics for my 70 and i think this is my last option.

    if you're talking about that stuff you use for tools i seriously doubt it will work well. many people just paint their plastics to change color. i've never done it so couldnt' tell what paint is best or how well it works.

    What color do you want them to be? If you had a big enough pot you could boil water with some good fabric dye. And then put them in. I've never done this personally with bike plastics, but used to many years ago with remote control car parts. Only thing is you can only go darker. I dont think there is a way to lighten them up..

    I dont think the dip stuff would work and I am not a big fan of painted plastics.

    try dupli-color paints there awsome there for plastics and metals and come in just about any color including glow in the dark!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Use Plastic Renew. Basically you wet sand your plastic starting from a course grade paper to progressively finer. Then apply the cover clear coat. It really does work. I have used it on my older bike. Since it’s a clear topcoat you can use it on any color of plastic. The kit contains everything you need.
