CRF 50 rear shock spring replacement

    by IamTheCowboy » Sun Sep 02, 2007 4:37 pm

Anyboby know how to replace the stock rear spring on a crf 50? I bought a stiff spring and it was supposed to come with instructions and it didn't. I contacted the manufacturer, but I am guessing they won't get back to me until Tuesday.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hey Cowboy,

Underneath the rubber stopper on the shock is a nut.

Take a wrench and hold it, and then stick a screwdriver or drift punch through the eye of the shock at that same end and you can unscrew the eye right off and the spring comes free.

A spring compressor makes the job easier as it removes the tension, but is not necessary.
