Quick question, how is the best way to straighten handlebars or do I need to replace everytime the boys bend them? Daddy ain't made out of money! :?

If they're riding it so hard that they're bending the bars... I honestly would be concerned that I wouldn't be giving them a lined up front end if I tried to straighten them. Though I've been told steel bars can be straightened to some extent.

But I think it depends upon how bad they're bent. If the bars are creased, I'd say they're trashed. If you have to straighten them more than once, I'd be concern that they're fatigued.

The bends are not bad, mostly from laying them over at low speeds. They have no creases or cracks just not completely straight?

You could probably tweak em back into form then.

Maybe get a longish pipe big enough to fit over the ends. Like may 1-1/2 or 2" dia. See if you can slowly get them back. You should be able to leave the left grip on... but take off the throttle assembly. Good time to clean under the throttle anyway. Dirt gets in there and makes the throttle gritty.

Go slow though. Be careful you don't make it worse.

    G/Luck.

Are the bars actually bent or is the front tire tweaked inside the forks? My son tweaks his all the time and looks like the bars are bent. Try loosening the 2 bolts that are half way down the fork tubes and kick or push the tire over a little and check how that does. It helps to take the front fender off so you can see the tire while you do this.
