    CFRF70 Countersharft sprocket question

    by KevinM » Wed Feb 14, 2007 7:07 am

I just replaced the chain on my son 70. After taking off the left sode case cover, I noticed that the countershaft sprocket is loose. I can wiggle the sprocket while it sits int he splines on the couner shaft. The two bolts that hold it in place are rock solid.

I checked every other bike we have. All the CS sprockets are tight as a drum.

This much play can't be right, can it? The bike has about a year of mild riding in it. The CS sprocket is otherwise is very good shape. Not worn.

Anyone have a thought on this?
