    Central Ca Bass Lake

Went on a Fun Ride with a group from the Stewards of the Sierra National Forest Sat. My buddy and I have recently moved to/are moving to this area to spend our retirement years riding off into the sunset We raced MX back in the day and did a lot of desert stuff. I recently talked him into getting a plated 250X so we could explore the area around our respective places in the hills south of Yosemite. Got hooked up with the SOTSNF for a dual sport ride in May and thoroughly enjoyed that ride. Anyway... this fun ride was AWESOME. 40 mile loop of 80% forest service roads and 20% novice to almost intermediate wide single track. All navigable by quad or side by side. Averaged about 15 mph and got to open things up on F.S. Rds to almost 40 mph. The weather was cool and conditions perfect after recent rain showers and lite snow in the upper elevations. Got to say it was a great experience in beautiful country run very smoothly and efficiently by the Stewards members. If you ever get the chance to ride one of these fun rides I highly recommend it. Its an outstanding intro to riding available in the California Central Valley area. Probably not too exciting for die hard technical single trackers but we were assured that there is plenty of it here. Again, an outstanding intro to the SNF trail system, to the SOTSNF club and is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to ride. Google the Stewards of the Sierra National Forest for additional ride and club info.
