We had a blast in Crested Butte! It did have a lot of single track and one of the few places I have been to that had a bunch of trails for dirt bikes only, NO ATV’s. Some of the single tracks were a little difficult and had some mean switch backs. I love the single track, but found myself having to concentrate a lot more on the trail while riding and it was little harder to enjoy the scenery. I think if I was a little better rider I could have even enjoyed the trip more. If you love single track this place is great! I have gotten a little better since this trip and would like to tackle some of these trails again soon. I would like to make a trip that would cover both Ouray and Crested Butte. Both places have so much to offer! Crested Butte is a little harder to get lost, we did a few times. Thanks to Steve, or navigator, we managed to find our way out every time! GPS, came in handy for these trails!
Ok, enough rambling! Time for the pictures!
We rented an RV for the 20 hour drive

The players from left to right, Clay, Jim, Colleen, Chad, Steve, and Mark
Colleen tackling one of the nasty single track switch backs
Mark taking a fall on a switch back. Actually 2 people crashed on this one!
Colleen crash!
Collen picks up her bike!
Colleen falls back down the other way! This happened 3 times......
Lots of nice woods trails!
More woods

A lot of long and some deep creek crossings
Colleen takes a swim. This was really a bad crash. It does not look deep, but it was. Both her and the bike were completely under water. You can see I dropped my on the other side to run and save her. My crew got the cameras out to take pictures! We had to take the bike apart here to get the water out of the carb, airbox, and cylinder. Then had to change out the oil about 4 times to get the water out.

Some rocky trails
Rocky uphill switch back
Nice single track
Great scenery
Steve stuck on a hill. Colleen rode past him roosting him as she rode by!
