Ocotillo Wells -CRF's Only Forums

Does anyone ever go out to Ocotillo wells. We usually stay at Hidden valley. There are cabanas and pit toilets. There is alot of space out there too. Mostly RV's and toy hualers are out there. I have seen tents. I can't imagine staying in a tent. Cold in the winter and *hot* in the summer. I used to stay in a cargo box. But now the family and I are staying in style. Motorhome....heh heh heh. There are alot of cool things to see :shock:

i have friends that live in san diego and they frequently go out there and they like it, they told me there is alot of different kinds of terrain and all different levels of riding, im going out there this summer and going there and to glamis, i can't wait

Were headed out to Ocotillo this weekend. Actually 14-17. We'll be at the hidden valley campsite. It's off of the Cahuallia trail rd.

There is alot of different riding out there. From washes to hills, and so much more. I know you would enjoy it. I know I do. I have been to Glamis once. That is one place that calls for a return visit.

i hope you and your family enjoy it out there. i cant wait until i go out there this summer, i am thiking about sending my cr500 out there and putting a paddle on it for galmis. have fun!!!!!

I hope your friends told you it is going to be real hot... I mean smokin hot out in Glamis and Ocotillo this summer. I love the heat, but man. You are talking some serious temps. I guess that is what camelbacks were made for. I wouldn't mind taking a trip out there for a weekend ride. Keep us posted if you do come out and ride.

Just keep me posted. I thought about riding the dunes out there today. Damn it's only been three days since I rode last. This is going to suck not riding alot. I guess I just have to focus on the boat at the river......heh heh heh.

Do you stay in Havasu city or one of the many campgrounds there? We usually stay down near the dam on the Cali side. It's alot more civilized compared to some of the stuff I have seen in the channel.

we usually stay in the city, at my friends house. there looks to be alot of good riding behind there house.

the riding is about 10 minutes away. it is kinda of close to a place i think is called cat tail cove

I know where cat tail cove is. It's almost directly across the lake from Black meadows landing.

Now I just need to figure out a way to get my bike in the boat and over the cat tail for some riding. I am sure that is going to make the wife happy as seeing a dog turd in our pool.
