    Numbers

    by Jason » Wed Jan 19, 2005 1:47 pm

There's a race coming up in a few weeks I'm going to enter. I've never done this before and was wondering if you can just put any number on your bike or do you have to get one assigned to you. I was thinking that you only had to register your number with the AMA if you were racing in Nationals or Pro. I don't want to put some on and have to change them later.

jason...it depends. i race at Glen Helen and it's pretty much run with whatever you like...unless someone else has already registered with that number....then it's electrical tape time!

you should check with your local track for specifics...

good luck in your race and definitely let us know how it goes.

Right after posting the previous I found that it's just run what's on your bike and hope nobody with the same number registers before you. There's two races on the same day. One at the club and the other part of the Honda of Houston series. I might just run the one at the club seeing how it might be easier for me and not as intimidating. I have a month to figure it out.
