RC wins again!

ok...i was at this race and it was incredible to see ricky and chad go at it in the main. granted it only lasted for a lap or two before reed crashed and gave ricky too much a of lead to catch up. had he not crashed it would be have been some of the best side-by-side racing ever. that will have to wait. the bottom line is ricky was so incredibly smooth and fast. i seriously thought it might be ricky pressing this season to win and would risk crashing out. wrong, it looks like chad is pressing. time will tell but ricky looks rock solid. with a 24 point lead over chad it's chad that's going to have to press to win and hope that ricky encounters some bad luck.

on another note, a honda note, mcgrath was great to see race. he is still very fast...if only he had the stamina to maintain the pace for 20 full laps. he was in 3rd half way through the main and was holding off the likes of larocco and windham. faded and ended up 5th. look who he beat though? some major league full-timers!

kevin gave up the points lead to ricky by finishing third.

the track was very difficult...some very awkward transitions from whoops to doubles, several step-ons step-offs, and a wicked triple-double-triple-single combination that gave a lot of riders trouble if they didn't land the initial triple clean and with good speed.

sweet day of racing.

yea i watched it (tivo'd) and stayed away from my normal bike sites on the internet so i didnt get a glimpse of who won..
Was a great race.. and I agree with you on the what if with reed...he looked like he was struggling to keep the same pace as RC...
RC just looked, for lack of a better term... automatic... there was nothing in his riding that looked anything less than perfect... he was smooth, consistent, and just plain ..fast.
The mans conditioning is what is going to get him his championship this year... he looks as fresh on lap 18 as he does on lap 2

on mcgrath...i'm convinced if mc had ricky's work ethic off the track he'd still be contending for the title.

i have lost a lot of respect for several top name riders this year. it's like they have given up since they don't believe they can win.

and you're are right...RC was a machine out there...i have to give suzuki and decoster credit...they have given ricky a machine that looks to be perfect for him. in the whoops especially, he NEVER looked out of shape....no swapping, no rythum problems...just ripped through them. it was really something to see first hand.
