yeah that was pretty scary. i was surprised that neither went down. bubba is far more agressive than he needs to be. that's the part i don't understand about him. he has all the speed he needs in every part of the track. he doesn't need to take many of the risks he takes. besides this he rides a lot better (read: focuses better) when he's following. if i was his team manager i'd tell him to sit behind the leader until the 17th lap and then pass.
this has been a bizzare season to say the least. you have chad reed, without question the third fastest rider on the program, who has a real shot at winning the championship. he's one the fewest races and those two where handed to him. please don't misunderstand, i have a great deal of respect for chad and that was respect was doulbed this year as he rode through the pain of an injury. he's consistent and rides smart. however, he's not as fast as james or ricky.
the good news for us fans is we finally have a season where las vegas is going to mean something. can't wait.
