Even though he doesnt ride a honda, Tyla Rattray is out for the rest of the season with a concussion and small fracture of his C7.

He is another racer who doesnt wear a neck brace!

I hate that for Tyla, he seems to be a cool dude even though he rides a Kawi, the neck brace is a can of worms I'm not going to touch let alone open, however, it does make you wonder! They contribute TC 41's break to the rear wheel centering his back during the collision, I can't find for definite if RM 65 was wearing a brace or not.

Out of curiousity, what would be the reason for not wearing one?

The two I hear the most is the fear of broken collarbones and lack of mobility, it inhibits the movement of the neck.

I would personally rather a broken collar bone over a broken neck any day!!

I find it hilarious that some people still think that there is a legitamate argument on neck braces. Broken collar bones and mobility, seriously? Thats like saying we should be able to ride without helmets because they weight too much or it makes my head sweaty and hot!!

Common sense is such a rarity that it should be considered a superpower!!!

But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

yep im a firm beliver in neck braces. like you said, TC's life was probly saved by one
