As much as I love Shorty and think he is good for the sport, I think Honda needs to sign both Barcia and Canard to full factory contracts and let Shorty and Milsaps go the Semi-Privateer route.

Those guys are hungry and want to be on the podium...every race.

I totally agree with this. The only thing I have to say is that Barcia is so wide open all the time (this may sound terrible) but I almost feel like they should have someone else as a backup if (when) he gets hurt bad, so they don't have to scramble to find someone. But I guess it's not that big of a deal.

Oh, and with Barcia's riding style, someone (I think PT) was thinking that it may help cool the bike to rev as much as he does in the air because there is no load on the engine.. what do you think about this?? Would it actually help anything or is it just risking blowing a motor??

It won't help in cooling...probably just risks valve floating.

I don't think Barcia knows that the throttle works in both directions.

    Yeah that's probably it.

He will be exciting to watch if he can avoid soil sampling too much.

i dont think barcia can take the title this year, but if not he will do it next year. there isnt much competition in the east. id expect it to go alot like metcaff or canard where he gets the title and goes to the other series before going 450 and i can almost bet it will be with honda (didnt he ride for factory honda when he was on 85's or somthing?).

canard should ride for honda and he probobly will, but i bet he will have lots of job offers come end of the year

Barcia was one of the first 85cc riders to test and switch over to the crf150r.
