    Thunderstorm at Thunder Valley

National come'th to my backyard. We're getting pounded by hail and heavy rain right now. It's been very wet around here all month. Forecast is afternoon thunderstorms tomorrow also. Outdoor National should be a good one. Under the lights, In the mud. The track last year was like silk. This year will be mud and deep ruts, should make for some good stuff. Our last local race at TV was so muddy we couldn't even get up the big uphill after the start. They had to cut out that section. It'll be fun to see the pros deal with the mud conditions at night. Don't miss it Live on Speed.

Well the rain somehow missed the track. No mud, very few ruts, actually was smoother silk than last year. I am officially re-naming Thunder Valley to Wonder Valley, because, I wonder how the National pros get such a smooth track, and our local races, it's so beat up and rutted and muddy most of the time. :? Isn't that kinda backwards? Had a great time though. Tedesco ran away from everyone, led every lap, both motos. Short still couldn't pull off a win in front of his homestate fans, he really needs a win to light a fire under his butt. Ashley Fiolek won the WMX race, but had a present handed to her 2nd moto when JP lost her front end, in the lead, and went down in a big sweeper.
