    Moto GP

Sheesh does anyone watch the most exciting version of 2 wheeled racing besides me and the wife? Moto GP is motorcycles version of F1. They hit over 200 mph on many circuits, roundy round racing is so boring compared to this!!!
Rossi is GOD. 3 in a row, including this week at home at Mugello, Italy, which makes 7 YEARS IN A ROW for him. He loves the track designed by Ferrari.
I love to wait when he makes the podium and hear what he has to say, he is so friggin cool and funny. Does anyone else here even know how cool this sport is?????
    Chime in!!

MotoGP is the closest thing I have to a religion!!

Even my wife gets into it (she watches most races with me, and gets really into some of them)

I am so excited to see the Tech 3 Yamaha squad doing as well as they are, between getting off of the Dunlops and adding two WSBK champs to the roster they are kicking arse!!

    ---

This past weekend at Mugello was huge for Valle, but this coming weekend could very well turn into the Spanish Civil War....Dovisioso VS. Pedrosa (Pedro-bot might even be on the pneumatic valve engine with a redline that may be in the neighborhood of 20,000RPM's)
Catalunyas endless front straight will be a very very fast place on Sunday.

You and I go to the same church. Roadracing is *it* for me in general, including WSB and AMA, and certainly not the least, *real* roadracing like the Isle of Man TT, Northwest 200, Macau, etc.

While MotoGP is indeed the "F1" of roadracing, there's hardly ever a dull moment in WSB Supersport...not uncommon to have less than 10 seconds separating the top 10 in any given race. The icing on the cake for MotoGP and WSB is the circuits they run...not an unspectacular one in the bunch. Too bad Speed doesn't televise BSB, because there's awesome tracks and racing in that series as well. One thing I will say is that I miss the 500cc 2-strokes, and even though lap times and top speeds of the "new" 800cc 4 strokes don't give anything away, I also miss the brute power and nastiness of the 990cc machines.

On the MotoGP season, I was really concerned that Rossi had done himself in with the switch to Bridgestones, especially when his teammate (Jorge) is still on Michelins, but it's obvious he's worked through the transition issues. It's also been fun watching the guys who have recently moved up from 250s...Lorenzo and Dovizioso bring a LOT to the series. I've long been a big fan of Toseland, so I'm anxious to see how things work out for him...not too shabby so far this season.

I could go on and on...Ped-Bot (Dani Pedrosa is like robot, no emotion to a fault, for those that don't get the "Ped-Bot" joke) and the pneumatic valved Honda, where will Nicky be next year, was Hopper's move to Kawi a good one, I wanna see Jorge win the 'ship next year, etc, etc......

The doc said I have A.D.D., but I think he's full of...HEY LOOK, A CHICKEN!!!

You are right about the close racing in WSBK. I think the best racing for a spectator to check out is World superbike and World Supersport.

I feel that in those series, the bike can have problems, but the rider can ride around the issues. VS. MotoGP if the bike is not spot on you are guaranteed not winning. This opinion, is why I visit the racing websites twice a day, read all the press releases and listen to the announcers. Right now I am super impressed with Pedrosa, (even though I think he is a knob!) Watching the last two races, it seems he is riding a pogo stick, Rossi and Stoner seem to be so hooked up, riding around on rails....Dani is pushing the front, dealing with headshake and yet, he is right there, contending for the podium!

As always , I am rooting for John Hopkins and Colin Edwards. John went well on the Suzuki at Catalunya, hoping for good things from him.

I think my 14 year old daughter is finally growing out of that one. But man is was her, Zack & Cody and all that crap for a while. She is starting HS this year so she has to be cool now.

The 2.5 year old is into Cars, Transformers, and The Bee Movie right now. We watch all three of those daily. Sometimes twice on Saturday and Sunday.

Even when the Ducatis or Honda have more power, I still love to watch Rossi outbrake them all into corners!
This should be good, I took the day off so I could watch at home.

So let me get this straight. You can take a day off to watch people ride but not a day off to go riding?
