PHOTOGRAPHER LOOKING TO SHOOT PRO MOTO

    by crispy » Sun May 08, 2005 9:35 pm

I'm a professional photographer living in Bozeman, MT. My niche is action sports and have been doing well with what i know which is skiing and snowboarding. I'm very interested in trying to get into some big pro moto events and get my foot in the door in this industry.

If anyone has any contacts or connections that they wish to send my way I'd be stoked. Thanks!

crispy...this shouldn't be too difficult to at least get started and see how well you shoot. first, the outdoor nationals is starting this month. you can check out the schedule here:

    http://crfsonly.com/national_schedule_04.php

if you get to one of these you can have a front row seat without a press pass. take some pictures and send them in to various magazines and online sites...like ours. if they are quality shots we'd post them for you and give you the pub you are looking for. just make sure the ones you send us are of CRF's passing anything else ;). just kidding of course.

good luck and if anything else comes to mind i'll let you know.

Thanks Ken! The 2 that are closest to home are Washougal and Thunder Valley. Obviously it would be great to be able to get press passes to these events but I know that I have to have credentials ( assignment from a mag, ect.) Do you have any contacts of the people running these events that i might be able to contact?

Again thanks for the info and prompt reply.

one of the great things about the outdoor nationals is you can get a pass for the entire event (practice and qualifying and race day). they usually include pit passes. so, you can get just about anywhere. also, you can park it right on the ribbon...seriously. also, i'd recommend contacting the various rags after your first event, show them your work and see if they would give up a press pass for some inexpensive free lance work.

again, we'd be happy to post your pictures here if you need an online portfolio place.

    Ken-
Thanks for the info. You emailed me saying that you would be interested in me shooting some events for crfsonly, I'd like to forward your info on to my rep so that she can do the legwork to get into some events. If you wouldn't mind forwarding me your info that would be great.

    thanks!
