    New to +2018 EFI engine

I am switching over from a 2008 CRF450R to a 2018 CRF450R. I am concerned on the number of hours on the 2018, it has 47.8 hours on it.
I just bought the bike from the original owner and it has never been raced. The owner went to a couple MX practices, but never raced it. He said it was too much bike for him and he sold it to buy a 250. He mainly trail rode it. We usually put on 40-50 hours in a race season, and over the winter I usually do a complete rebuild on the race engine. This 2018 bike looks and runs mint, I checked the valves and they were still in OEM spec, and the clutch pack looks practically new. I don't want engine failures as we are defending a championship this season. So I'm looking for some insight from others who own these bikes, on how long you have pushed a stock engine.

My normal rebuild is a new OEM crank with a Carrillo rod, Carrillo piston and rings, timing chain and tensioner, new valves and springs, I do this every off season. I have other bikes and quads with 100's of hours on the stock engine that still perform flawlessly. So I'm on the fence, I do have the engine out of the bike and its sitting on my bench. I hate to drop another $1500 into this bike as I lost my arse selling my 08, but don't want it to blow up half way thru the season. Just not sure how long this engine will go once it starts getting beat on for 40-50 hours. I'm leaning towards popping it open and doing a rebuild, even tho everything I have checked is still in factory specs, and it purrs like a kitten when I start it.
