Welcome to the site !!
The stock stator will not power a fan , nor allow you to charge , the bike will need a aftermarket stator (the 450X stator will not work either as the flywheel is too large for the R ignition cover) ... Your best bet is to contact Trail Tech and tell them what you want , and what specific fan you plan on using , or they could set you up with a complete kit including a fan ... they have small battery packs (they are basically R/C car battery packs) , so they take up little space , though with the regulator and other stuff , it is usually set up behind a headlight they provide , not sure if you want that or not , but I guess you could always take the components off it and strap them down somewhere on the frame or subframe......
But your best bet is to contact them , as of right now with a stock stator , unless you buy a 17-21 450R , or a 450X (or 250X) , you can't have a fan nor a battery ..... ...
Though as a additional help , ...... , You can mount a overflow tank on the bike (I did one on my 02 450R using a 04+ 250X overflow bottle and hoses and mounted it on the subframe....*pictures below*) that will at least put the coolant that blows out , back in the radiator for the most part ... also get a higher pressure radiator cap , stock is 1.1 bar , you can get a 1.6 or 1.8 or 2.0 bar cap , each higher number raises the pressure as to when the cap releases fluid , and Engine Ice or Evans Waterless Coolant will help raise the boiling point so it does not boil over as easily , so all that will help a lot as well , with that stuff mentioned alone without the fan , I did lots of single track with my 450R without any issues , I never put a fan on it and rode it for 12 years like that and never blew a head gasket ... I did put one on my 450X .... ....Hope that helps ...
