Help installing '06 hubs on an '02

    by blackedout96 » Sun May 04, 2014 7:59 am

I bought a new set of wheels and hubs for my '06, so I decided to throw my old excels with oem('06) hubs on my '02... The problem is that the spacer on the rotor side seems to be 3/8-1/2" too short. If I tighten it down the heads of the rotor bolts catch the fork guard and the rotor smashes against the caliper. I ordered oem '02 spacers thinking they might just be a little longer... Not the case.

Has anyone else run into this? My initial thought is to cut the old spacer down to the additional size I need for proper spacing/alignment. Just don't want to rig it if I don't have to.

    Any input is greatly appreciated!

I have a feeling this thing has cr250 forks in it... Could that create the problem I'm having? They Appear to be single chamber
