hello!

we have an 06 crf450r and the bike wont start. The valves were recently adjusted, the carb was recently cleaned and rejetted, a new spark plug, good fuel, etc. the bike will backfire and shoot flames right out the back and will sometimes start if its pull started. the bike is getting fuel and spark but will not start at all. someone said it might be the stator but if its getting a spark then shouldn't it be fine? im no expert and need help trying to figure it out.

It still sounds like a lean condition , double check

Valves to positively eliminate them

Pilot Jet , if it was cleaned and not replaced

Hot Start , make sure its not stuck

Exhaust Leak at header to head connection or muffler connection

Float Level , tilt the bike about 20-30 degrees (about like this \), it should spill fuel out the overflow

Kill Switch , test by unplugging and trying to start

If all clear inspection , then go to Stator/Ignition electrical, the stator or CDI can break down under load , as can the Spark Plug Boot or coil

Hopefully you have a Honda Service Manual so you can have the proper specs for everything , especially for any electrical testing it is mandatory
