I finally did it as well. Any body got a stock header for a 2005? The freezer trick did not work for me. Thanks. Ron.

Try the freezer trick again, unless it crazy bent. If its just a dent try the freezer again. It works for me every time. Got a picture of it?

I tried the freezer trick like 6 times. I finally resorted to a torch and a curved bar. It was a nasty dent. It looks alright now, but I think I will try the freezer again to finish it. My only concern now is if I weakened the pipe at all with the torch. By the way, your bike is sweeet!

Jethro,
The freezer trick is a way of improving air flow even if the header pipe is dented. You simply freeze the header pipe and put it back on right before you go riding. The lower temperature of the header pipe creates a vacuum the actually sucks the exhaust out of the engine and gives it about as much added power as the pink wire mod.... Well maybe not that much, but definately a seat of the pants power improvement.

Either that, or you fill your dented header pipe with water and freeze it real good, and the expanding water pushed the dent out.

Could go either way :-s
