    gearing

    by iceman » Sat Aug 25, 2007 4:29 pm

I do a lot of trips to mexico and I am trying to gear my bike as low as possible so that at top speeds I am not killing my engine. I am thinking of going to a front sprocket of 15 and a rear of 45 (stock I think is 13/48) Does this sound too extreme or is it allright.

I would try the 15 first. That is the same as changing 7 in the back.
