    Problem with hand guards

    by Rage » Sun Apr 22, 2007 2:23 pm

Hey everyone I have bought the Cyra Pro-bend Racer pack for ny 05 450R. It seems that the throttle side doesn't fit. The hole on the plastic throttle is to small, and if I drill it out to fit, it looks like once I tighten down the guard the throttle isn't going to rotate freely. Any idea on what I can do to fix this problem.

    Thanks
    Jeremy

You don't have to have the guard end mashing against the throttle tube to make it tighten. I just moved mine out enough to clear and tightened them up. Rotates just fine.

Just cut the end of the throttle tube off and move the throttle inboard on the bars by a 1/16" so the handguards can seat against the end of the bars.

    Simple.

Yup, that's the ticket. Did that to mine and they fit great!
