    Riding With Fuel Off?

    by JPond53 » Mon Apr 16, 2007 10:23 am

The other weekend i was doing a hill climb and accidentally rode with the fuel off. I made it about half way up and it started bogging down and then finally the motor died. I was wondering if I did any damage to the motor please let me know if I did and if I did how do I fix it?

No issues. Coming from a 2-smoke from years ago, I still had the habit of turning my fuel off at every stop. Ran that sucker out of gas quite a bit before I could break that habit! :)

On a 2S you could do dammage as the premix is what lubricates the piston. On the 4S I'd think you'd be ok.

:D Snooch, #1 reason I only turn off the gas when doing work on my bike, other than that..... I NEVER turn that sucker to the Off position and have never had a problem, plus it fires on the first kick :!:
