    450R drool (2007)

Guys: just some grin and drool, coming from a 250X (slowly turning it into the 250R) owner... :)

Had a chance to sit on (not ride, unfortunately) a new 2007 450R today, at a nearby dealer.

I gotta say the thing feels light!!! :D
I was surprised - while sitting on it and flat-footing on 1 side, I was able to sway it left & right underneath me (like going into and exiting a corner). The thing feels lighter then my 250X!

I will say the suspension felt like a rock, though.
250X and 450X's are VERY plush compared to the 450R.
Those forks didn't wanna close up very easily at all.
The thing must love to jump! ;)

    Someday.... O:)

Here's a neat graphics kit I came across.
Really cool looking on the 450R. Kinda a retro feel, but sharp!

Ok enough drool for one weekend.
Now where did I put that bib.

    Go look at the specs.

    Hello,
I just bought an 07 450r... Bike is awesome, very light indeed. Still new to the 4stroke thing so I'm ready to learn.

Yup I almost have them memorized.
The heavier "feel" must come from getting used to it's pull and power difference... but I gotta say even without riding the thing that it definately feels like it would corner more easily than the 250X on a track.

What I thought at first was that I was feeling the dry weight, then the salesman said nope, she's fully fueled and ready to go. So it definately wasn't nearly as top-heavy as I was expecting. Almost feels like it would help you turn, rather than fight your turning!
    Definately a nice bike. :P

I'm totally in love with mine.
For a bike that weighs 230 pounds with 52hp it is amazingly civilized. Dirt Bike and MXA both referred to it's power as different than any of the others in that it has an "old school" (for four strokes I guess) feel to it's power, really giving the rider a feeling of direct connectivity from his hand to the rear wheel.
