Congrats on the buy and welcome. In my opinion, if it's starting and running good, leave it alone. I would, however, recommend radiator guards. The rads are made of tin foil (and you will go down here and there.) They bend really easy. I think they're about $250/each. Rad guards are anywhere from $75 - $100. Well worth the investment. Otherwise, just ride it for a while and visit the board often to see what popular.
Check your valves (How-To is on main Home page.) After that, change oil often, keep an eye on things, and enjoy.

Bring some tape with you to keep that god-awful grin under control!

Contrary to popular belief, you should do everything to it.
--Check the valve clearances for a baseline. They may be in spec, but knowing exactly how much they move (or don't move) is good information.
--Grease the suspension, axles, and steering stem bearings.

Agreed!!! I guess this was just "assumed" in my head. I recently bought a KTM and did exactly what 124 said...complete breakdown, inspection, and grease. Sorry I left that out!
