I have a brand new 2007 CRF 450 R that has been in my garage for about four weeks now. I have cranked the bike a couple of times and putted down the street once. The bike has less than a tenth of a mile on it. I finally was able to get out to the track this morning and planned on breaking it in and coming home early to change the oil. I got the bike unloaded cranked it up, one kick as usual, and the bike ran for 30 to 40 seconds and then shut off. I could not get it to start again. I tried for about an hour with no luck so I loaded up and came home where I continued to work on it all day and it still will not crank. Last night I did put a Zip Ty fuel screw in it and installed a Twin Air cage and filter. When I got home I put the stock fuel screw back in but that did not help. One thing that seems odd is that my throttle doesn't seem to be turning very far. I measured how far the throttle turns and from closed to full throttle is only slightly more than three quarters of an inch ( thirteen sixteenths). I have a buddy who has the exact same bike who also has not had time to ride so his bike has not been broken in yet either and his throttle turns nearly one and a half inches, almost twice as far as mine does. I have drained all the fuel, changed the spark plug, and I took the cover of the carb where the throttle cables connect but it all looks okay.... Any ideas?

2 very simple things to check:
1. Did you have the fuel turned on?
2. Are you sure you had enough fuel in the tank.

I know they are simple, but you would be surprised...
